Cruise Tips Archives

I usually focus on the budget end of the cruise market and aim to encourage others to try their first cruise. If you’re looking to explore the world by ship, you’ve come to the right place. I’m all about showing you how to get the most out of cruising without breaking the bank.

I’m Taking an All Inclusive Cruise! (On a Budget)

On 2 June 2017, she published her first video titled ‘10 reasons to cruise at Christmas’. Even though Emma watched the videos of ‘CruiseTipsTV’ and ‘Tips For Travellers’ YouTube channels, she never intended to become a YouTuber. At 11, Emma along with her family took her first cruise.

Hey hey, I’m Emma

And you don’t need a partner to travel frequently, even as a woman. She recoups the cost of her constant cruising through her channel and blog earnings. Here’s a blog post where Emma runs through more of her equipment. Visual content and a personal brand make merchandising more effective.

I’m 29 years old and I’ve been cruising since I was 11. My first cruise was to Alaska on the Norwegian Spirit, and I had so much fun in the kids clubs with my brother and cousins.

Her blog posts are often well over 3000 words and packed with high-quality photographs she’s taken herself. Hello folks, I'm Naveen Reddy.I love writing the inspiring success stories of people so as to inspire you.Enjoy the well-researched, thorough articles! Every article takes many days of effort; so, why not pay it forward by sharing them and spreading positivity.

Her favourite cruise trip was from Singapore to Tokyo with Princess Cruises. Emma has a pet cat; Hudson and she raised over $57,000 by selling Captain Hudson plushies for Mercy Ships. At that time, Emma used to save up from her job for one big cruise per year and some weekend breaks. So, in 2016, she started her website Emma Cruises (initially she named her website as ‘Cruising Isn’t Just For Old People’) and started sharing her cruising experiences.

In order to find the right cruise for you, we need to know where you live. The post details things like which companies host my website, my email provider, where I get stock video from and much more. In 2018 we ‘Braved the Shave’ for Macmillan and let the captian of the Marella Discovery shave my head on the theatre stage. We raised a little over £5000 for cancer support charities! I never imagined that my spare time hobby would turn into a ‘proper’ business, but it did.

Things You Should Do on Embarkation Day – Straight After Boarding

I’ve been interviewed for national TV as a ‘cruise expert’ (more information coming soon), consulted live on BBC radio and have been featured in a number of large newspapers and on travel websites. In 2023 we raised a little over £9000 for Mercy Ships by selling toy cat mascots of my cat Hudson. This was just the first version and we plan to make more going forward! In 2018 I was voted ‘Favourite cruise blogger’ at the Wave awards.

Patreon is a platform for those who want a little extra. When I decided to take my first cruise by myself, I was surprised to find that none of my friends would even consider it. They had outdated ideas about cruise ships being formal and boring, which I knew was not the case.

In 2016, for the first time, she cruised on a Cunard Line cruise and even though she enjoyed it, she was surprised to find it not very relaxing, thanks to the strict dress codes. Since a young age, Emma has been cruising on the cruises of Norwegian Cruise Line and MSC Cruises and found them to be very relaxing. This is by far my favourite part of what I do, hearing happy stories from people who have just returned from a great cruise is AMAZING.

This inspired her to quit her job which she wasn’t very passionate about and follow her passion of cruising and the content business that she created around it. As the cruise industry got closed down due to the lockdown, Emma wasn’t able to film videos of cabin tours and ship tours. Overnight Emma lost 95% of the traffic on her website and also the views of her YouTube channel dropped as at that time people weren’t interested about cruises.

This is based primarily upon the value of her online business, plus her stock portfolio on the side. Emma used to work in data development and cruised on the side as a ‘hobby’. The audience fills in their cruise requirements on Emma’s website and these details are passed on to the travel agency. Emma acts as the middle person between the audience and the travel agencies. Since launching her YouTube channel in 2016, Emma Cruises has grown a multi-platform online following of 500K people and is now a well-rounded six-figure business.

I’m really excited to share my love of cruising with you and to help you plan your own trip. So take a look around my site and if you’re ready to book your own adventure, we’re here for you. Join me as I share my adventures cruising on oceans and rivers. From luxury yachts to HUGE mega-ships, budget inside cabins to suites, you’ll find it all here.
